SUMMIT HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL

ABOUT OUR PROGRAM

Summit High School Football possesses a family, team first, attitude. From top to bottom, we all focus on the mentality of becoming better individuals by demonstrating self-discipline, respect for others, and a sincere gratitude for all of those who have helped along the way. Within the 4 pillars of Faith, Character, Love, and Discipline - these are the trademarks of the Summit High Football Program.  2022/23 FAMILY ID REGISTRATION NOW OPEN

FAITH

Faith must be the most important aspect to everyone in this program. Each individual is allowed to have their own faith and it simply does not look the same for each individual. However, we must have faith in one another and instill believe within one another. We must have strong and unshakeable trust in ourselves and each other.

Character

Great leaders are not just born, we intend to build great men of great character. Leaders are selected, trained, molded, and tested. A leader with character is someone who has integrity that will follow the three “do’s”:

  • Do what is right

  • Do for others

  • Do your best

Love

Love is the root of each member of this program. Showing more care for fellow teammates than oneself. It is not natural, but if we commit to this, we become better people and ultimately become better teammates who are willing to sacrifice for one another.

Discipline

Committing to doing things right consistently! This means being where you are asked to be and doing what you are asked to do. Ultimately, we want to create an atmosphere of self-discipline completely out of the respect for coaches, teammates, peers, and our community.

# OF YEARS COACHING:

WHY DO YOU COACH FOOTBALL FOR SUMMIT?

I coach football because this game allows for the opportunity to make a positive impact on individuals and a community. The relationships that are made through this sport and the positive impact that can be made are something that I cherish. I coach to create change and impact to develop good young men who hopefully go on to become great husbands and great fathers. I enjoy teaching the game and giving players the opportunity to be apart of something bigger than themselves. I also like to compete, there is nothing like coaching on a Friday Night under the lights!

WHY DO YOU COACH FOOTBALL FOR SUMMIT?

Without a certain coach, I can honestly say my life wouldn't be what it is today. I TRY to honor that man by emulating him every time I go to work.
It's harder than ever to be a teenager. When you can make a connection through hard work and a common goal, it is impactful.

# OF YEARS COACHING:

WHY DO YOU COACH FOOTBALL FOR SUMMIT?

I coach because I value the youth of our community and want to help them grow together and accomplish collective goals they have set out for themselves. Football in particular presents transformative moments that have impacted me in a positive way, and I want to see these young men through similar situations; guiding them and assisting in overcoming adversity that will better prepare them for life’s ups and downs. Coaching with Summit High has been my first experience in the field, and I could not be more grateful for the relationships and development it has brought into my life.

WHY DO YOU COACH FOOTBALL FOR SUMMIT?

As coaches, it is our responsibility to positively impact young men from all walks of life. I cherish helping these young men find success through the ups and downs and daily grinds of football. The relationships and life lessons that are formed will hopefully last a lifetime. I also love the atmosphere on game day. As a team, we have put in hours of work for this day. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing those kids perform and play their hearts out. It’s an honor to be a part of this brotherhood and teach young men one of the greatest sports ever.
